When you connect your Square account to TicketsCandy, Apple Pay is available as one of the supported payment methods. However, Apple Pay is only available when customers purchase tickets through your hosted TicketsCandy event page. It is not available when the TicketsCandy checkout is embedded into your own website using the Website Widget.
This is due to Apple Pay’s security requirements for payments made on the web.
The TicketsCandy Website Widget runs as an embedded checkout inside your website. Apple requires websites accepting Apple Pay to meet specific security requirements, including using HTTPS and verifying the website domain where the Apple Pay transaction takes place.
Because TicketsCandy widgets can be installed on many different organizer-owned websites and domains, Apple Pay cannot be reliably activated inside the embedded widget while meeting these requirements across all websites and supported browsers.
For this reason, Apple Pay is intentionally not displayed as a payment option inside the TicketsCandy Website Widget.
Customers can still pay by credit or debit card through the widget. If you would like to offer Apple Pay, direct customers to your TicketsCandy Event Page, where Apple Pay is supported for eligible customers and devices.
