- Complete the Setup
- Once connected, proceed with the configuration settings to ensure your event’s customer data syncs correctly.
Select Contact List #
- After connecting Constant Contact, your existing Contact Lists will be synced and displayed in the Select Contact List dropdown.
- Choose the Constant Contact audience list where you want customer data from your TicketsCandy event to be stored.
Enable Express Consent #
You can enable an additional consent checkbox at checkout for GDPR, CASL, and CAN-SPAM compliance.
This setting is important for staying compliant with laws like CASL, GDPR, and CAN-SPAM. By default, when the Constant Contact app is enabled, customer information will automatically sync with your Constant Contact list. However, under laws like GDPR, you can only send event-related emails to your customers unless they give explicit consent for marketing emails.
When this setting is enabled, a checkbox will appear at checkout, allowing customers to agree to receive marketing emails from you. If they check this box, Constant Contact will record their consent, marking their Email Status as ‘Express.’ This enables you to send them marketing emails in addition to event-related ones and makes it easy to segment your audience based on consent.
#
To ensure the Express Consent functions correctly in TicketsCandy, you must configure the corresponding settings in your Constant Contact account.
- Enable Advanced Email Permissions: First, you’ll need to enable advanced email permissions in your Constant Contact account.
- Start Collecting Consent: With Advanced Email Permissions enabled in Constant Contact and Express Consent enabled in TicketsCandy, your event will automatically start collecting and syncing customer consent data.
#
Customize the text that appears next to the checkbox to inform customers about data usage.
#
- Enable or disable double opt-in for new subscribers added to Constant Contact.
- For more information on how Constant Contact’s double opt-in process works, visit Constant Contact Confirm Opt-In Guide.
Disconnect App Settings #
- If you wish to remove the integration, click Disconnect App in the settings.
- This action will clear all stored settings and unlink your TicketsCandy account from Constant Contact.
