Easily sell tickets for your event in person using Square Stand or Square Reader. These tools enable you to accept various payment methods, including credit and debit cards, contactless (NFC) cards, Apple Pay, and Google Pay, providing convenience for your walk-in guests.

How It Works #

Using the Box Office page integrated with TicketsCandy and Square, you can process in-person ticket sales seamlessly:

  1. Open the Box Office Page: Access the special Box Office link on the device connected to your Square Stand or Square Reader.
  2. Initiate Checkout: The Box Office page functions just like your online event ticketing platform, but for in-person transactions.
  3. Square POS Integration: When you proceed to checkout, the Box Office communicates with the Square POS app, triggering it to accept an in-person payment.
  4. Payment Confirmation: Once the payment is processed, the Square POS app sends confirmation back to the Box Office page, updating the order status in TicketsCandy.
  5. Unified Reporting: All sales, whether online or in-person, are synchronized with your event settings and reports in TicketsCandy. These transactions are independent of Square’s internal product catalog.

Your Square Stand & Reader Box Office Link #

This dedicated link to your Box Office page is used exclusively for sales with the Square Stand or Reader. Ensure this link is opened only on the device connected to your Square hardware for a seamless in-person sales experience.

Square Stand #

Follow these steps to connect your Square Stand to your event:

  1. Hardware Setup: Assemble and set up your Square Stand hardware according to the included instructions.
  2. App Installation: On your iPad, download and install the Square Point of Sale app from the App Store.
  3. App Configuration: Open the app and log in using your Square account credentials.
  4. Accessing the Box Office: Open the Box Office link in a web browser on the same iPad. This ensures the integration between the Box Office page and Square POS app.
  5. Selling Tickets: Create ticket orders on the Box Office page and process payments using the Square Stand for in-person purchases.

Square Reader #

To connect and use your Square Reader for ticket sales, follow these steps:

  1. Device Compatibility: Choose a compatible smartphone or tablet and ensure it’s updated with the latest operating system version.
  2. App Installation: Download the Square Point of Sale app from the App Store (iOS) or Google Play Store (Android).
  3. Log In to Square: Open the app and log in using your Square account credentials.
  4. Connecting the Reader: Follow the instructions provided with your Square Reader to connect it to your device.
  5. Accessing the Box Office: Open the Box Office link on the same device to link it with the Square POS app.
  6. Processing Ticket Sales: Create customer orders on the Box Office page and process payments through the connected Square Reader.
