Seated Tickets allow you to sell tickets for specific seats within a seating chart connected to your event. Each Seated Ticket is assigned to one or more seating chart categories, which determines where customers can select seats for that ticket.
Creating Seated Tickets is the third step in setting up reserved seating for an event.
Setting Up Seated Tickets #
The complete setup includes:
- Create and Manage Seating Charts
- Enable Seating Charts for an Event
- Create and Manage Seated Tickets
- Manage Seats and View Purchased Seats
Before creating a Seated Ticket, make sure you have already created a seating chart and enabled it for your event.
To create and manage tickets for your event, navigate to your Event Dashboard and select Tickets. Then, click Create Ticket in the top-right corner.
Ticket Types #
When creating a new ticket, you’ll first need to select a ticket type, which determines how the ticket behaves and what it’s used for. Each type serves a unique purpose and affects how availability and access are managed.
This article focuses on the “Seated Ticket” type, which is used to sell admission for specific seats within a seating chart.
To learn more about the other ticket types, click on their names below:
- Ticket – Standard admission for a specific date or time slot. Ideal for one-time entry.
- Pass – Designed for recurring or extended access, such as weekly, monthly, or annual passes.
- Addon Item – Supplemental items or services (e.g., merchandise, rentals, upgrades) that do not count toward time slot capacity.
- Donation – Allows attendees to make a voluntary contribution. Useful for fundraisers or support options; does not affect time slot limits.
- Seated Ticket – Admission connected to a category within your event’s seating chart, allowing customers to select and reserve specific seats.
Important: The ticket type cannot be changed after the ticket is created, so select carefully.
Seated Tickets #
A Seated Ticket is connected to a category within the seating chart assigned to your event.
For example, if your seating chart contains Left Section, Center Section, and Right Section categories, you can create separate Seated Tickets for each section with different names, prices, and descriptions.
When creating or editing a Seated Ticket, the following settings are available.
Ticket Name #
Enter the name of the ticket.
The ticket name is visible to customers during the purchasing process and will also appear on their e-ticket after purchase.
Ticket Description #
Use the Ticket Description field to provide additional information about the ticket, such as the seating area, admission details, or other information customers should know before purchasing.
Ticket Price #
Enter the regular ticket price under Ticket Price.
If you want to offer the ticket at a reduced price, enter the discounted amount in the Discount Price field.
Tickets Per Order #
Use Tickets Per Order (Min-Max) to control how many of this ticket a customer can purchase within a single order.
Set the minimum and maximum quantities based on how you want customers to purchase tickets.
Select Category #
Use Select Category to connect the ticket to a category from your event’s seating chart.
Only seats belonging to the selected category will use this ticket option.
For example, if you assign the ticket to the Center Section category, customers selecting seats within that category will be able to purchase this ticket.
You can also assign multiple Seated Tickets to the same category. This is useful when the same seats can be sold using different ticket options.
For example, you could create:
- Adult – $40
- Child – $25
- Senior – $30
If all three tickets are connected to the same seating category, a customer who selects a seat within that category will be able to choose from the available ticket options and prices.
Hide This Ticket #
Enable Hide This Ticket if you want to keep the ticket saved in your event without making it available for customers to purchase.
You can return to the ticket later and make it available again when needed.
Save Ticket #
Once all ticket settings are complete, click Create Ticket in the bottom-right corner.
Your Seated Ticket will now be connected to its selected seating chart category and can be offered when customers choose seats from that category.
You can create additional Seated Tickets and assign them to other categories or create multiple ticket options for the same category.
Once your Seated Tickets are configured, continue to the next step: Manage Seats and View Purchased Seats.
