Google Analytics allows you to collect data from your ticketing widget and event page to track visitor activity, ticket purchases, and measure advertising return on investment (ROI). By integrating Google Analytics with your TicketsCandy event, you gain valuable insights into customer behavior, marketing effectiveness, and sales performance.

## How to Enable Google Analytics

Google Analytics is available as an app in the **App Marketplace**. To enable it:

- Go to **Add More Tools** in the navigation menu of your **Event Dashboard**.
- Find the **Google Analytics** app in the App Marketplace and enable it.

Once enabled, the Google Analytics feature will be added to your dashboard for easy access.

## Setup Google Analytics

> We have updated our system to the newest [Google Analytics 4](https://support.google.com/analytics/answer/10089681?hl=en) requirements, hence you can only connect your Google Analytics 4 property tracking pixel to the event. The Google Analytics 4 measurement IDs start with **G-xxxxxxxxxx**, while the older version of Analytics (Universal Analytics) that we no longer support start with **UA-xxxxxxxxx**.

### Obtain Your GA4 Measurement ID

First, ensure that your Google Analytics 4 (GA4) property is set up. [Here are the instructions to do that](https://support.google.com/analytics/answer/9304153). Once it's set up, you'll need your **GA4 Measurement ID** to link your Google Analytics with your event.

Follow these steps to find it:

- Log into your **Google Analytics** account.
- Click on **Admin** in the left-hand menu.
- Click on **Data Streams**, then choose **Web** from the list.
- Select your website’s data stream to open the details page.
- Locate and copy your Measurement ID (e.g., G-XXXXXXXXXX).

### Link Your GA4 Measurement ID to TicketsCandy

- Go to your TicketsCandy **Google Analytics** settings within the dashboard.
- Paste your **"G-" Measurement ID** into the **Measurement ID** field.
- Save the settings to start tracking customer interactions on your ticketing widget and event page.

## Add Google Analytics to Your Website

If you have embedded your event [**ticketing widget**](https://help.ticketscandy.com/kb/website-widget/) on your own website, it is essential to also install the same Google Analytics 4 (GA4) tracking code on your site. This ensures that visitor behavior is accurately recorded across both your website and the ticketing widget.

- Log into your **Google Analytics** account.
- Click on **Admin** in the left-hand menu.
- Click **Data Streams**, then choose **Web**.
- Select your website’s data stream and click **View Tag Instructions** under the**Google Tag** section.
- Click **Install Manually**, and a window will display the **Google Tag** code.
- Copy the entire tracking code.
- Paste the code immediately after the <head> tag on each page of your website.
