# Square says the online processing fee is 3.3% + 30¢, but your website says it’s 2.9% + 30¢. Why?

Square recently updated their pricing structure in US and now offers multiple subscription plans with different processing rates.

Current Square online processing rates are:

- **Square Free - $0/month**
   Online processing fee: 3.3% + 30¢
- **Square Plus - $49/month**
   Online processing fee: 2.9% + 30¢
- **Square Premium - $149/month**
   Online processing fee: 2.9% + 30¢

If you are using Square directly on their standard free plan, your dashboard will normally show the 3.3% + 30¢ online processing fee.

However, TicketsCandy has a direct API partnership with Square. Because of this partnership, all transactions processed through TicketsCandy continue to use the lower **2.9% + 30¢** processing rate, even if your regular Square account shows the higher pricing.

So any orders processed through your TicketsCandy event checkout will still be charged at the reduced 2.9% + 30¢ rate.
