**Smart Rules**, also known as **Conditional Logic**, provide event organizers with the ability to create dynamic pricing conditions for tickets. These rules allow you to automate pricing adjustments based on different conditions.

## How to Enable Smart Rules

Smart Rules are available as an app in the **App Marketplace**. To enable it:

- Go to **Add More Tools** in the navigation menu of your **Event Dashboard**.
- Find the **Smart Rules**app in the App Marketplace and enable it.

Once enabled, the Smart Rules feature will be added to your dashboard for easy access.

## Creating a Smart Rule

To create a new Smart Rule:

- Navigate to the **Smart Rules** page in your TicketsCandy admin dashboard.
- Click the **“Add Smart Rule”** button.
- The rule setup page will open, allowing you to configure your custom pricing logic.

Each Smart Rule follows a simple **IF → IS → THEN** structure.

### 1. Rule Name

- Enter a unique name to help you identify the rule.
- Example: “Weekend Price Increase,” “Bulk Discount,” or “POS Price Increase.”

### 2. Apply To (Ticket Selection)

- Choose which ticket or tickets the rule should apply to.
- Only the selected tickets will be affected by the pricing adjustment.

### 3. IF Condition (Trigger Rule)

Select the condition that will trigger the rule.

Available conditions include:

- **Booking Day of the Week** – Adjusts the ticket price based on the booking date selected by the customer.
- **Ticket Quantity** – Adjusts the ticket price based on how many tickets the customer adds to the cart.
- **Sales Channel** – Adjusts the ticket price based on whether the ticket is purchased online or through POS.

### 4. IS Condition (Specify Value)

After selecting a condition, specify the value required for the rule to apply.

- For **Booking Day of the Week**, select one or more days of the week.
- For **Ticket Quantity**, enter the minimum ticket quantity required to trigger the rule.
- For **Sales Channel**, select:
  - **Online** – Purchases made through the public event checkout, including the event page and website widget.
  - **POS** – Purchases made through TicketsCandy POS.

### 5. THEN Condition (Price Adjustment Result)

Choose how the ticket price should change when the rule is triggered.

Options include:

- **Increase ticket price by** – Enter an amount and choose either a fixed currency amount or a percentage.
- **Decrease ticket price by** – Enter an amount and choose either a fixed currency amount or a percentage.

### Disable Rule (Optional)

If you want to temporarily deactivate a rule without deleting it, enable the **Disable Rule** option.

Once all conditions are configured, click **“Create Rule”** to save the Smart Rule.

## Available Rule Conditions

### Booking Day of the Week

Adjust ticket prices based on the **day the customer is booking tickets for**.

- Choose one or more days of the week.
- The rule applies when the selected booking date falls on one of those days.
- Example: Increase ticket prices for weekend bookings or offer lower prices for weekday bookings.

### Ticket Quantity

Adjust ticket prices based on the **number of selected tickets**.

- Enter the minimum ticket quantity required for the rule to apply.
- Example: If the quantity is set to **5** with a **10% decrease**, the ticket price will automatically decrease by 10% when the customer adds **5 or more tickets** to the cart.

### Sales Channel

Adjust ticket prices based on **where the ticket is being sold**.

Choose one of the following sales channels:

- **Online** – Applies to purchases made through the public TicketsCandy checkout, including the event page and website widget.
- **POS** – Applies to purchases made through TicketsCandy POS.

This is useful when you want to offer different pricing online and at the door.

For example, if a ticket normally costs **$20**, you can create a rule:

**If Sales Channel is Online → Decrease ticket price by $5**

Customers purchasing online will pay **$15**, while customers purchasing through POS will continue to pay the regular **$20** price.

## Managing Smart Rules

### Smart Rules List

Once created, all Smart Rules will appear in a **table format** within the dashboard.

- **Checkbox** – Select multiple rules for bulk deletion.
- **Name** – Displays the rule name.
- **Type** – Shows the type of the rule used, indicating the condition it applies to.
- **Date Added** – Indicates when the rule was created.
- **Active Status** – Displays **"Yes"** if active and **"No"** if disabled.
- **Action Button** – Provides options to **edit or delete** the rule.

### Managing Rules

- To create a new rule, click the **"Add Smart Rule"** button at the top-right corner of the page.
- To edit or delete a rule, use the **Action** button next to each entry.

## Disabling a Smart Rule

- If you need to **pause** a rule but don’t want to delete it, open the smart rule settings and use the **Disable Rule** option.
- A disabled rule will remain saved but will **not apply** until re-enabled.
