**Meta Pixel**, formerly known as Facebook Pixel, allows you to track ticket purchases and other customer activity, measure ad performance, build audiences, and retarget visitors who interact with your event.

By connecting Meta Pixel with TicketsCandy, tracking events from your TicketsCandy event and checkout pages can be sent to Meta and used to measure and improve your advertising campaigns.

## How to Enable Meta Pixel

Meta Pixel is available as an app in the **App Marketplace**. To enable it:

- Go to **Add More Tools** in the navigation menu of your **Event Dashboard**.
- Find the **Meta Pixel** app in the App Marketplace and enable it.

Once enabled, the Meta Pixel feature will be added to your dashboard for easy access.

## Connect Your Meta Pixel

Before connecting Meta Pixel to TicketsCandy, you will need to [set up a Meta Pixel and install it on your website](https://www.facebook.com/business/help/952192354843755?id=1205376682832142).

You can manage your Pixel and its associated dataset through **Meta Events Manager**.

Once your Pixel has been created:

1. Open **Meta Events Manager**.
2. Select the dataset associated with your Pixel.
3. Open the **Overview** page.
4. Locate the **Dataset ID** displayed on the right side of the page.
5. Copy the **Dataset ID**.

Meta may also refer to this number as your **Pixel ID** in some areas of its platform.

Your Meta Pixel is now connected to TicketsCandy.

## Enable Conversions API

For more complete tracking, you can also connect Meta's **Conversions API**.

Meta Pixel normally sends events through the customer's browser. The Conversions API allows TicketsCandy to also send supported events directly from our server to Meta.

Server-side tracking can help improve tracking reliability when browser tracking is limited by browser privacy settings, ad blockers, or other restrictions.

To use the Conversions API, you need to generate an access token in Meta Events Manager.

### Generate a Conversions API Access Token

1. Open **Meta Events Manager**.
2. Select the dataset connected to your Pixel.
3. Click the **Settings** tab.
4. Scroll down to the **Conversions API** section.
5. Find **Set up direct integration**.
6. Select **Set up with Dataset Quality API**.
7. Click **Generate access token**.
8. Copy the generated token.

Do not share this token publicly. It provides access to send data to your Meta dataset.

### Add the Access Token to TicketsCandy

After generating the token:

1. Return to your **TicketsCandy Event Dashboard**.
2. Open the **Meta Pixel** app settings.
3. Paste the token into the **Conversions API Access Token** field.
4. Click **Save Settings**.

TicketsCandy will now use the token to send supported tracking events directly to Meta through the Conversions API.
